The Royal Academy has been a prestigious institution since its inception in 1768, and we are thrilled to be providing sustenance to thousands of artists and art lovers who visit each year both at the Restaurant at the Royal Academy, and at our new restaurant in the historic Keeper's House building.

Our menu celebrates the best of British produce while offering an innovative flourish to a modern European menu. Chilled pea soup with chervil pesto may kick off your meal on one visit, sea bass carpaccio on another; Pecorino ravioli with Umbrian black truffle may be your choice for dinner, or perhaps whole grilled Cornish mackerel with a fennel, carrot and pea shoot salad. Eton Mess to finish, or grilled peaches with thyme granita — decisions, eh?

We'll even treat you to a splendid Afternoon Tea if you join us between 3-5.15pm, where you can enjoy homemade patisseries, buttermilk scones, our Peyton and Byrne preserves, clotted cream and tea or coffee — how very civilised.

Some of our menus will keep step with the themes of exhibitions within the Royal Academy, such as the recent Australia exhibition, where we have been laying on spiced fillet of kangaroo, seared Barramundi, and a classic Aussie Lamington cake: we have also dedicated our wine list 100% towards a celebration of the wines of Australia for the duration of the exhibition. We like to get into the spirit of things here at the Academy.

We hope to see you soon, after you've taken in a few works from the rich tapestry of art and sculptures on show upstairs — a fine Mayfair day out.
